1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners.

2. How We Use Cookies

Luminar Forge uses minimal cookies. Our approach differs between the marketing site and the authenticated application:

Marketing Site (luminarforge.ai)

The marketing site uses only essential cookies and optional analytics cookies. Non-essential cookies are declined by default — we only set them if you explicitly opt in via the cookie consent banner.

Authenticated Application (/app)

Sessions use JWT tokens managed by Supabase Auth, stored in HTTP-only cookies for session management only. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere.

We do measure how the product itself is used — which screens account holders open and in what order — so we can see where the software is confusing or broken. This is on by default for signed-in accounts, because it is part of running the service you are paying for rather than something we ask visitors to consent to. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Account → Opt out of usage analytics, and turning it off stops the collection rather than merely hiding it.

This is deliberately different from the marketing site, where nothing optional is set unless you press Accept. Someone reading our pricing page has not agreed to anything; an account holder has an agreement with us and a switch to change their mind.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

If you decline, the analytics rows above are never set. We do not load the analytics software at all, so there is nothing to opt out of afterwards.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share what we collect with advertisers. We use one analytics provider, and only if you accept. The third-party cookies that may appear are from:

  • Cloudflare: Security and performance (essential, cannot be disabled)
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: Bot detection on signup and login forms (essential)
  • PostHog: Analytics, on servers in the European Union. On the marketing site: which pages are read and where people give up — off unless you accept. Inside the application: which screens account holders open, so we can find what is confusing or broken — on unless you opt out in Settings → Account. In both places we record page visits and a small number of named clicks, and nothing else. Session recording is switched off, so we never see your screen, your typing or your mouse, and we do not capture what you write or generate.

5. Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through:

  • Our cookie banner: Appears on your first visit to the marketing site. Nothing optional is set unless you press Accept.
  • Cookie preferences: The link at the foot of every page on this site brings the banner back, so you can change your mind at any time. Declining after you have accepted also deletes the analytics cookies already set.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
