Refund Policy

1. Try it before you pay

Every new account starts with 2,000 complimentary Welcome Credits. No card is required and there is no countdown. That is deliberate: those credits are how you decide whether Luminar Forge is right for you, before any money changes hands. Please use them.

2. Subscription payments are not refundable

When you first subscribe, your plan's credits are added to your balance and are usable immediately. Credits are AI compute we buy and run on your behalf, so once they are available to you that payment is not refundable — whether or not you go on to spend them.

This is why we ask you to spend the Welcome Credits first. It is also why we tell you at checkout, before you pay, that your credits go live straight away.

Each renewal buys you continued access to the platform and your next monthly top-up, which lands on your account's own top-up date rather than on the day you are charged. Renewals are not refundable either — cancel before your renewal date and you will not be charged. See section 3.

On Enterprise, which is Bring Your Own API Key, the subscription buys the platform rather than a credit allowance: you pay your AI providers directly and there is no credit pool. The same rule applies — the payment is not refundable, and you cancel to stop the next one.

3. Cancel and you will not be billed again

If Luminar Forge is not for you, cancel before your renewal date and you will not be charged again. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee and no minimum term.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, not immediately. Until then your plan stays active and your credits stay spendable. You keep the full month you bought.

To cancel, go to Billing settings in the app, or email hello@luminarworks.com and we will do it for you. We will confirm in writing. If you ever have trouble cancelling, email us — we will not use a broken button as a reason to keep charging you.

4. Booster Packs

Booster Packs are one-off credit purchases. The credits are added to your balance immediately and never expire, so a Booster Pack is not refundable once it has been bought.

One thing worth knowing before you buy: your monthly allowance tops your balance up to a ceiling of twice that allowance. If a Booster Pack has already taken you above that ceiling, the next monthly top-up will be smaller, or skipped for that month.

5. When we will refund you

Sections 2 and 4 are about changing your mind. They are not about us getting it wrong. We will refund you, without argument, if:

• you were charged twice for the same period, or charged the wrong amount;
• you were charged after cancelling;
• a fault on our side stopped you using what you paid for, and we could not put it right.

If you think one of these applies, tell us — see section 8. We would far rather fix it ourselves than have you go to your bank.

6. What is never refundable

• Credits that have already been spent on generation.
• Welcome Credits and any other complimentary or promotional credits — they cost you nothing.
• On Enterprise (Bring Your Own API Key), the AI usage your own providers bill you for. That money never passes through us.

A generation that errors is not charged — we absorb it. If a run produced nothing usable and you were still charged for it, that is our problem, not yours: tell us and we will put the credits back.

7. Enterprise and custom agreements

Where an Enterprise plan is bought on a signed order form or custom contract, that agreement governs refunds wherever it differs from this page.

8. How to reach us

Email hello@luminarworks.com from the address on the account and include:

• the email address on the account
• the Paddle order or invoice number, which is on your receipt
• one line on what happened

We reply within 2 business days. Where a refund is due, it is issued by Paddle to your original payment method and typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Please come to us before raising a chargeback with your bank — we can almost always resolve it faster than the bank can.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page removes rights you have by law.

• UK and EU: when you buy a digital service at a distance you normally have 14 days to withdraw. That right does not apply where the service has already been supplied with your express consent and you have acknowledged that you lose it — which is what you are told, and agree to, at checkout when your credits are made available immediately. If we did not give you that notice, the right stands and we will honour it.
• South Africa: the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives consumers a 7-day cooling-off right on many electronic purchases, though it does not cover digital content you have already begun using.
• Wherever you are, if your local consumer law gives you more than this page does, your local law wins. Paddle, as Merchant of Record, applies those rights too.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published on the day you paid. Material changes are communicated to account owners by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
